Policy and Geopolitical Investment Analyst adds Valuable Research, Analysis and Advocacy Capacity Across a Variety of Policy Areas to the Firm

Rebecca Herman Joins Porterfield, Fettig & Sears, LLC Washington, D.C. – Porterfield, Fettig & Sears, LLC (PFS), a leading bipartisan government relations firm, announced today that Rebecca Herman is joining the firm as Government Affairs Manager. Herman’s experience at Boston-based hedge fund Weiss Asset Management spearheading in-depth research and analysis on complex policy issues, geopolitical developments and changing regulatory environments has proven valuable to the firm’s clients and investors. Her success in building relationships across the legislative and executive branches informs her analysis and her ability to help clients manage political and regulatory risk.

Prior to joining PFS, she was a Policy and Geopolitical Investment Analyst at Weiss Asset Management, a highly respected hedge fund with $4 billion AUM. She worked across a variety of different policy areas and industries including financial services, technology, national security, and more. She was also responsible for presenting her key findings to traders, portfolio managers and managing directors to support investment and portfolio decision-making.

Rebecca previously served as a Research Assistant at Vanderbilt Law School, where she contributed to early stage election research. She also has experience in nonprofit grantmaking through her work with the Ittleson Foundation and the Weiss Asset Management Foundation, where she evaluated grant proposals with an emphasis on impact and alignment with their organizational missions.

Rebecca is a native of New York and received her B.A. in History with a focus on Legal History from Brown University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
