Rebecca Herman is Government Affairs Manager at Porterfield, Fettig & Sears LLC (PFS). Prior to joining PFS, she was a Policy and Geopolitical Investment Analyst at Weiss Asset Management, a Boston-based hedge fund with $4 billion AUM. In this role, Rebecca spearheaded in-depth research and analysis on complex policy issues, geopolitical developments, and regulatory shifts to identify risks and opportunities for the firm’s investment strategies. She worked across a variety of different policy areas and industries including financial services, technology, national security, and more.

Rebecca previously served as a Research Assistant at Vanderbilt Law School, where she contributed to early-stage election research. She also has experience in nonprofit grantmaking through her work with the Ittleson Foundation and the Weiss Asset Management Foundation, where she evaluated grant proposals with an emphasis on impact and alignment with their organizational missions.

Rebecca is a native of New York and received her B.A. in History with a focus on Legal History from Brown University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
